Ryan and I flew home to Michigan for a long weekend to celebrate an early Christmas with my family. We were actually impressed with the little snow fall that had already taken place before we got here, but then it snowed an additional 6" over night while we were here, which was really pretty to wake up and see. My parents waited to get their Christmas tree so that we could go out with them and pick it out. This was Ryan's first time at a Christmas Tree farm where you chop down your own tree.

Ryan sawed through the first half of the tree... (I'm holding up the branches for him, and he's behind me)...
I sawed through the next 1/2 centimeter, and my brother-in-law did the last 1/2 of the tree.

The rest of the afternoon was spent doing a puzzle with the family, and also exposing Lydia and Alyssa to the greatness of Little House on the Prairie! :)
"Christmas Day" was a relaxing day of eating, opening gifts, and chatting. Lydia, got very dressed up for the occasion...
